Sephora Collection Matte Perfection Powder Foundation Review

Hi everyone! This will be my second foundation review on my blog. As you may know, I am searching for great everyday foundations that are not only affordable but also lightweight.I decided to purchase a new powder foundation from Sephora.com and test it out!Credit for Featured Photo: Sephora.com. All other photos in this post are owned by me.This foundation comes in a sleek black compact and retails for $20 USD on Sephora's website. It has an amazing shade range with 35 colors to choose from and claims to have a creamy texture that creates a flawless, matte finish that is comfortable and weightless on the skin.First Impression:It's always difficult to find your shade online but I chose shade 64 Neutral Mocha because it seemed to be the best choice. When I opened the compact I thought that the foundation wouldn't match because of how light it looked in the pan. It also didn't look like the swatch on Sephora's website which is a bit darker.[gallery ids="1191,1192" type="square" columns="2"][gallery ids="1193,1194" type="rectangular"]Application:I applied the foundation with the sponge included in the compact and it glides on the skin smoothly and leaves a beautiful matte finish. At first it may appear a bit orange, but it adjusts to the skin after a few minutes. The foundation didn't set into any fine lines or pores. I have also been testing this foundation for about a week and I did not break out from it.Natural Light:IMG_1043IMG_1046IMG_1049With Flash:IMG_1050IMG_1052IMG_1055Final Thoughts:I give this foundation a 5/5!  It's easy to apply, blends seamlessly and doesn't transfer as easy as my other foundations. There isn't a white cast when you take photos and it's travel friendly which is a huge plus! The coverage hit the nail on the head of being lightweight and natural looking. You can also build it up if you'd like to.If you choose to pick up this foundation, I would recommend using your best guess to buy this online or check out your local Sephora for a shade match.I will be testing out a few other foundations that I'll share in the upcoming weeks but definitely leave a comment below for any you would want me to review!
