Wet n Wild Beauty Limited Edition Collection

I shared a photo on Instagram of my top picks from Wet n Wild's Fall Collection. I passed on the mascaras but didn't hesitate to pick up the liquid lipsticks and eyeshadow trios!Check out my full review and swatches below! If you're new to Wet n Wild Beauty then this would be a great start! They are known for having amazing and affordable products from nail polishes to pigmented eyeshadows.I saw a sneak peak of the collection a few weeks ago and knew I had to see it for myself (especially the liquid lipsticks). The entire collection has 4 Color Icon liquid lipsticks, 2 Color Icon eyeshadow trios, and 4 Color Icon Mascaras. Each product in the collection retails for $2.99 each and can be purchased here. There was also a bundle featured on the brand's website with 2 highlighters but it is now sold out.Eyeshadow Trios:The first trio is Velour Vixen which has a range of mauve/purple tones perfect for fall. The deepest shade looks very similar to one of the purple shades in a Black Radiance palette which would make sense because this brand and Wet n Wild are owned by the same company.[gallery ids="1589,1590" type="square" columns="2"]The second trio: Plaid to the Bone has more adventurous colors ranging from a beautiful gold almost taupe color to an iridescent green.[gallery ids="1591,1593" type="rectangular"]All of the shadows are gorgeous, pigmented, and easy to blend with the exception of the blue shade in Plaid to the Bone. It isn't as pigmented as the other shades and you will need to build it up a bit. Overall I give it a solid 4 out 5.Liquid Lipsticks:I picked up 3 of the 4 shades from the collection:IMG_1205I was excited to try these colors because they're right up my alley and liquid lipsticks have been the newest staple to my everyday makeup routine. My first impression of this is that the packaging is a little bulky which is okay for a drugstore product especially for the price. It's similar to the packaging for LA Girl's liquid lipsticks. But what I immediately noticed was the smell. Most lipsticks have a sweet sometimes vanilla scent to mask the chemicals but these lipsticks actually smell a bit like paint which I'm not a fan of.The applicator was also a miss for me. Most of us are used to either a straight or doe foot applicator but this one has an indent to it. I'm guessing that it is supposed to help fit the curve of your lip but this felt a bit awkward for me to use and didn't make the application easier.[gallery ids="1595,1597" type="square" columns="2"]Other applicators for comparison:Left to Right: LA Girl, Colourpop, Kat Von D[gallery ids="1598,1599,1600" type="rectangular"]Swatches:How Fleek Is Your Love: A bright red shade with a orange undertone.IMG_1228IMG_1236IMG_1235Don’t Be A Plum-Plum: A gorgeous medium plum shade and my personal favorite.IMG_1242IMG_1241IMG_1240Take It Like A Vamp: A true vampy purple shade. This color is the darkest in the shade range and it is also very patchy.IMG_1250IMG_1251IMG_1249 I wore Don’t Be A Plum-Plum for a day, it lasted more than 4 hours and didn't budge. I usually use a makeup remover to take off liquid lipsticks but I had to grab a little bit of coconut oil to take this off. It's definitely long lasting! However throughout the day it was very sticky.Overall I would rate the liquid lipsticks a 2 out of 5. Although the shade range is beautiful it does not justify the smell of the product and the strange applicator.Final Thoughts:If you see this collection at your local Walgreens, I recommend picking up the eyeshadow trios but would pass on the liquid lipsticks.Milani Cosmetics and Colourpop have amazing colors and better application for only $2-$3 more.If you purchased any of these products, leave a comment down below. I would love to hear your thoughts!
