I'm really excited to share this post with everyone! Since images began floating around on Instagram, I have been hunting to see the display for Milani's Limited Edition Amore Matte Lipsticks.I happened to see only one display but I ran into every beauty lover's worst nightmare, with only 1 lipstick left so I ended up purchasing them online. (Thank goodness!)The collection includes 10 brand new shades (2 of them are metallic) and retails for $8.99 on Milani's website. But if you happen to see these in person at your local drug store, you can purchase them for $7.99 and combine them with any promotions and coupons.Swatches (without lip liner):

Left to Right: 28 Darling, 29 Sweetie, 30 Honey, 31 Glamour, 32 Emotion

Left to Right: 33 Fixation, 34 Beautiful, 35 Attraction, 36 Magnetic, 37 Dearest

Pros:

  1. Application: These lip cremes are very easy to apply. The color glides on the lips smoothly and if you make a mistake, it isn't difficult to fix.

  2. Color Range: This collection has 2 more shades than the original limited edition shades that launched last year. What I like the most about the shade range is that there is a little bit of everything for everyone. You can choose deep dark shades to nudes, metallics, etc.

  3. Texture: This product feels very lightweight on the lips. Out of all of the liquid lipsticks that I have, the texture of this one is by far one of my favorites. My lips felt very soft the entire time I wore this.

  4. Long lasting: I wore 36 Magnetic for about 8 hours yesterday and it was difficult to remove. It didn't budge all day and I actually had to use makeup remover wipes and coconut oil to remove this once the day was over.

Cons:

  1. Inconsistent Color Payoff: The lighter shades seemed to apply very patchy and the more layers you added, the worse it got. It also made my lips look very dry. The red shades applied the best. They were very creamy and I wish this was consistent throughout the entire collection.

  2. Product Availability: I found this product very hard to find. This could be because this launched only in Walgreens (Duane Reade as well) but I checked in person and called a over 6 locations without any luck. I would recommend to check your local areas to take advantage of any local sales and coupons, but if you can't wait then grab these online. (But keep in mind that it's $1 more online than it is in stores).

Note: There is a slight vanilla scent to this lip creme. If you are sensitive to certain smells then this could be a con for you.I think this collection is definitely one of the more sought after ones for the drugstore especially because we're in the fall and winter months.I would highly recommend picking up the metallic shades and the deeper red/plum shades. If you are a woman of color, I would also recommend using a lip liner for the nude shades if you are worried about the color appearing ashy.
