Product Review: Halo Beauty Kiwi Skin Booster Vitamins (1 Month)

As a skincare lover and product junkie, I’ve been even more obsessed with glowy skin especially in quarantine.. (I’m talking about a lot of masks everyday and trying new products left and right!)

About a month ago, I shared Halo Beauty’s Kiwi Skin Booster in my IG stories and had to test it out after hearing mixed reviews on it. Quick disclaimer - Most people that took this vitamin were looking to clear up noticeable acne or address other skin concerns. I have fairly normal skin and am simply testing if I would receive the “glowing skin” benefits from this product.

There are also minimal results on people of color on the Halo Beauty site which is a bit concerning if you’re trying to reference someone with a similar skin tone. But there was an interesting photo of a woman who used these vitamins for 3 months and her dark circles lightened, once I saw that photo then I was sold to purchase it.

Now, let’s get into the results! (photos are in order - in groups of 2)

  • Before Photos - June 11: Day 1 of taking Kiwi - My skin was pretty clear and my face overall has different shades of brown, not necessarily discoloration from acne or blemishes, just genetics. But I will say that the vitamin itself isn’t my favorite. I found the smell and taste to be strange compared to other skin/hair vitamins on the market (more earthy would be a way to put it). The vitamin was also a little hard to swallow but sensitivity to this definitely depends from person to person.

  • 1st Check In: June 18th - I can already see the glow on my cheekbones and forehead. I’m looking hydrated and healthy! I didn’t have any negative reactions to the vitamin. (No breakouts or allergic reactions).

  • 2nd Check In: July 4th - Skin looks about the same with no noticeable differences.

  • After Photos and Final Thoughts - July 12th

I think the vitamins definitely contributed to some glow for my face overall (not body because I moisturize with shea butter almost daily which already gives you a glow). If I tried this for another 2 months, I’m sure the results would be about the same and consistent but considering I have a set skincare routine and lots of Vitamin C products, I’m confident that I can achieve the same results over time.

I would recommend this vitamin to someone that wants these effects without having to purchase a ton of skincare products and would rather have benefits from a vitamin they can take daily. It’s definitely up to your preference! Overall I won’t purchase another bottle unless I’m curious to try it again for a longer period of time. I’ll also do another check in next month to see if the “glow” has faded since I won’t be taking the vitamin.
